9th Annual Holmes Art Show

Area artists will show their paintings, sculpture, glass and other works

Opening Reception: Thursday, November 15, 5:30-7 p.m.                                                           
Art Show: Friday, November 16, Noon- 7:30 p.m.
Saturday, November 17, 10 am- 4 p.m.

Get a head start on your holiday shopping and support the arts in the area with the 9th annual Holmes Art Show.  The weekend kicks off with an artist reception Thursday evening at 5:30 and continues through Saturday.  The show features paintings, sculpture, glass and other works by area artists. Artists will also demonstrate various techniques and styles. Find that perfect piece of art for your home, office or a special gift for friends and family. The lobby will be transformed into a holiday boutique, featuring ornaments, prints, cards and many other items, perfect for your Christmas list.  There will also be concerts in the Holmes Theatre to make the Holmes Art Show a fantastic destination for the day or weekend!

Caravan du Nord with Mason Jennings

with Hardwood Groove and Caroline and The Good Night Sleeps

Local bluegrass, jam, folk band Hardwood Groove will be the opening act for the return of the Caravan du Nord through the Minnesota Music Coalition. Minneapolis songbird Caroline Smith and The Good Night Sleeps will take the stage next performing their “storybook folk with an indie twist,” followed by Minnesota’s favorite adopted son, singer-songwriter Mason Jennings as he shares his musical eclecticism that has made him one of the most talked about new artists on the acoustic music scene.

This activity is funded, in part, by the Minnesota State Arts Board through the arts and cultural heritage fund as appropriated by the Minnesota State Legislature with money from the Legacy Amendment vote of the people of Minnesota on November 4, 2008.
