A tour de force musical performance encompassing three centuries in the lives of African American women, from a slave woman to Oprah, this one –woman show features songs from Bessie Smith to Aretha Franklin, Lena Horne to Beyoncé. This energetic show, brought to you by Mixed Blood Theatre, commemorates the accomplishments of a greatly under-appreciated segment of American society.
