Post Comedy Theatre

Combine a quart of dry humor with three tablespoons of expert mime, versatile acting, and skilled juggling. Add a keen sense of satire and the absurd. Blend in splendid timing and experience, and what do you get? A host of unforgettable characters at the perfect comedy feast! Robert Post is a brilliant physical comedian specializing in “rapid fire” character changes. He will portray everything from a wacky TV chef to a fearless stunt pilot to a classical ballerina – all in one show! In his famous murder mystery skit, he plays all six-characters including “Wesley Bloom,” a Scottish crime inspector and “Nicole,” a scheming French beauty.
Since 1994, Post’s work has been seen across the US and in Canada in an award-winning PBS special, “Robert Post - In Performance.” Post’s one-man show was presented by Broadway’s New Victory Theater to rave reviews and sold-out houses. Area drama students will have the opportunity to work with Post on characterization and acting skills during the day.
This activity is made possible in part by a grant provided by the Minnesota State Arts Board, through an appropriation by the Minnesota State Legislature from the Minnesota arts and cultural heritage fund with money from the vote of the people of Minnesota on November 4, 2008, and a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts.
